B.1121 and B.1122 when one has the possibility to compare these two splendid drawings hanging side by side, as one could in the Rijksmuseum's 1993 exhibition, one can scarecely believe the effrontery of Mr Schatborn in suggesting that one (B.1121) was by Aert de Gelder and this by Rembrandt. They are so obviously by the same hand and on the same occasion I would have thought equally obviously by Rembrandt and of Hendrickje
